Gold Rush Glimpses II is the MacDonalds' second installment in the California Gold Rush Glimpses series. Their first book in the series was a runaway success with Sierra Heritage readers, and for that matter, with history buffs in general. Craig and Franklin's original stories of life during the Gold Rush are nuggets of their own. This is a must read book for those who enjoy learning history's back-stories.

Craig MacDonald’s great-grandmother came to California in a covered wagon during the Gold Rush. Two other relatives came as a miner and gambler. He has spoken before the Conference of California Historical Societies and been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Craig's father, Franklin, is a noted professor and historian in his own right. Craig's stories appear regularly in Sierra Heritage Magazine, where he also carries the title of Contributing Editor.
